Famous basketball hero Jeremy Lin is joining the ranks of other NBA greats like Michael Jordan and Dwyane Wade by entering the world of Web3 gaming. Lin is following in the footsteps of previous NBA greats. On the Ethereum blockchain are stored 7,777 non-fungible tokens that make up the first collection released by the NBA champion. This collection is called the “Linsanity Collection.” The drop will take place on May 25 to commemorate the passage of ten years since the theatrical release of Linsanity: The Movie, and it will be managed by the Reel8 NFT platform.
The non-fungible tokens (NFTs) that are included in the Linsanity Collection will each cost 0.07 ETH, and they will come in one of three rarity tiers: silver, gold, or diamond. Each variety of NFT will be supported by a unique set of utilities and advantages. As a result, the Linsanity Collection NFTs come with the perks that are listed below according to the rarity levels:
In addition to his signature, Jeremy Lin's official basketball player logo will be on each Linsanity NFT.
In addition, the website for Reel8 states that Jeremy will contribute one hundred percent of his income to support underserved Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) and cross-racial kids’ initiatives via the Jeremy Lin Foundation.
One has to be registered at Reel8 and link an ETH-compatible wallet, such as MetaMask or a Coinbase wallet, in order to take part in the drop.
