We liked the communal life and everything that it represented, everyone helping each other, and developing deep relationships and friendships. Twenty years ago, two of our closest friends met over a milkshake while they were working overseas.

One day, we made a promise to one another to make a difference in the lives of those suffering from violence throughout the world, particularly children who live a life of poverty and hunger. This is a promise that we intend to keep.
